CACIK


                                             

  

 

 Ingredients

A cucumber (medium sized)
A glass of pure yoghurt
Garlic 1-2 cloves
Salt
Fresh dill or dry mint


Method

Grate or chop in very small cubes the cucumber in a bowl.
Whisk the yoghurt and add to the cucumber.
Grate the garilc and add it to the mixture.
Put in some salt and mix it. 
If it is thick you can add 3-4 spoons of water.
If you use dill chop and sprinkle on or sprinkle the dry mint in.

Note. If you dont like garlic you can do cacik without garilc too.

  1. Don't you mix yogurt before doing cacik?
    And could you please give us more information about that lovely taste like which countries use that recipe, which meals can be good with it? What else can we ad like walnut. One times my mom add walnut and she said that "French people do it like that."

    1. It depend of you I prefer chopping cucumber first. If you want, you can whisk yoghurt first then chop cucumber in.
